Workshops

Spencer Fields (the lead Dramaturgy) and I spent time helping the actors look into the script with new eyes as well as helped them better understand the history and world of Shakespeare.

Lobby Displays

This was a TYA (theatre for young audiences) production. So even when it was being performed at the university of course we had to help the audience step into a world of play, and sleepover parties. This allowed them to start to see what the play would be like before the even stepped foot into the theatre.

Post-Show

Shakespeare can be hard to understand. It can be even harder to understand when the creative team takes a spin and adapts the play to how they want, shorter and with a fun style. That's why we as dramaturgs ran post-show disscusions. It allowed the audience to ask questions to us the dramaturgs, but even more so to the actors on how they delt with understanding Shakespeare and perfoming it in a creative way for the audience to comprehend.
